Film Camera Week for March 22

Greetings, all, and welcome to our new thread.  Post all the images you like from any film camera.  I'll start with a few from the Maxxum 9xi and Kentmere 100.  Lens noted in description.

For the first two images I revisited the railroad tracks next to West Point's Transportation Museum.  This time I used a Sigma 18-35.  Both shots made at the 18mm setting.  The first shot looking north and second one looking south.

Downtown West Point around Sunday noon.  The church traffic had just cleared out.  Lens was Tamron 24-70.

Central School in West Point.  It was built in 1928.  I attended for grades 5-8.  Taught there from 1979-1986.  Both of my sons attended middle school there,  Also with 24-70.

I mentioned in another post my Rolleicord V was loaded with EDU 100. It actually was loaded with Ilford Pan F. Results were good considering the screw up. Developed in Lmax 1-5 for 5 minutes.

Dining Hall Le Conte Lodge, GSMNP. 1984. Nikkormt FT2, Nikkor 50/1.4, Kodachrome. Reservations are required and hard to get. Also the only way to get there is by trail. Supplies were brought in by helicopter for the season, supplemented by supplies brought in on lamas packing up the trail.

A recent trip to Denver Colorado, the mile high city. The light is intense due to the high altitude, and colors are very vibrant too. I used a travel friendly Lomo LC-A compact camera, Fujicolor C200 (Japan) film, Bellini C41 home processed. I suspect my LC-A is under-exposing a bit, which accentuate the color and contrast a bit more.

From my mini-test of four mini amigos: half frame cameras! These are all Diptych from an Olympus EE-S with D.Zuiko 30/2.8 lens, manual exposure (meter is dead), Ilford Pan F+, Adox FX-39 II 1+9.

Greetings Fellow Film Fanatics..... tough act to follow here.. so much excellent work!! My meager offerings are so plebian. I mentioned catastrophes last week..umm ....last time I posted.  A complete 120 roll for no explanation was completely fogged. It came out of the camera Ok.. I can't imagine what happed. This roll was from a Yashica Mat 124.. .it wasn't just dodgy looking ..it was completely exposed .. edges and all..as if someone unfurled the roll in daylight and then developed... very disappointed, and then to add insult to injury the roll in the Tourist II,  besides being pretty crappy .. wasn't very tightly wound and seems it was also fogged with traces of the backing paper in the emulsion...two 120 rolls fit for the trash... 
Meanwhile, I've re-shot the Tourist II with moderate success... if you consider leaky bellows and double exposures success.  Well all was not totally lost in my developing session. The second roll I put through my (new to me ) Contax IIa with the Sonnar 1.5 was OK. I felt the results lacked a bit of contrast. The weather was overcast..but still?!?

Hi @chuck_foreman1, I kinda like the light leak from the Tourist II. It looks almost like an omen from above.  

And I reckon you enjoy the Anaston f4.5 lens on the Tourist II? It is a very good one.

Thanks for the kind words. .I have now looked at the camera "very!" closely with high powered light and there are quite a few small holes that may not be "burning" a leak , but I think is causing an overall fog.. I may leave it be.. ..fixing things that aren't really broke..usually ends up with them, being ...well-- really broke!
The lens was really a motivation ..these pre-war Kodaks have really caught my fancy. Having one in the large,,,albeit 620, format is very welcome.

You mentioned that you thought that the contrast was low on your Contax 50 mm f/1.5 photos.  Were they made with outdated film or old developer? My experience with my copy of that lens has been that the images have been sharp and have had good contrast, especially for a lens of that vintage.  That's why I question the film and/or developer since they could account for this issue. 

I *finally* finished the roll in my Kodak Retina Type 010 with the USA Ektar.  There's still a light leak that showed up in only a couple of frames so I'll have to track it down.

Thanks for the feedback... interesting too. When I took possession of the camera, I shot a roll and shared some pics with the seller... he commented accordingly, old chemicals.. date film etc...   Try Try Try again 🙂
