eddy_d
Hello. I posted this once before but cannot find my post on it. So I thought I would try again. Am I able to fix this on my own or does it require to be serviced? Does anyone know why this happens? Thank you in advance.
John Seaman
Can you explain in what circumstances the error appears? In what mode, with or without a lens, when putting film in etc?
eddy_d
I just turned it on and the err message appeared. The camera has not been used in a long while.
Rick Helmke
Start with a new battery and make sure all the contacts are clean. Next make sure the contacts on the lens and body ant the lens mount are clean. Take out any film. Turn the camera on and put it in manual mode. I suspect a near dead battery and if so, you should be ok. Actually you posted this in the wrong place. A little further down there is a spot for film cameras. Taking the film out, if any, will eliminate an error with the body reading the ISO from the film canister. Let us know if this works. Rick H. eddy_d
Thank you for your advice. I have a Nikon auto lens on it and it was stuck on the 3.5 lock lever but did everything else you mentioned as well and it worked.
